Squeezed Volute

This was a left over scrap from long past project on Park Ave. This piece was too beautiful and too figured to fit into the project, so it was delegated to an out of the way corner in the shop. This piece has the regular concealed when assembled hinge and a slight overhang at the front to pick the lid. The figure and depth of color came out better than expected.
