David Flatt has been working in wood since 1975. He began by creating one-of-a-kind furnishings, exhibiting at the Milwaukee Art Museum, juried art fairs, and American Craft Council shows across the United States.

After earning a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, he established a New York–based practice focused on the design and fabrication of trade show exhibits and custom installations. He has recently returned to studio work, producing small, hand-crafted objects that reflect a continued interest in material, form, and precision.
